Fact checkWhy other sites disagree about this item
The Snacker is the most misreported item on the KFC internet, and this page was part of the problem until this audit. The truth, from KFC's own menu and its 30 March 2026 release: it is a sandwich again, one Original Recipe tender, pickles and mayo on a mini brioche bun, sold à la carte and inside the $7 and $9 Box Feasts. Listings still describing a tender-and-fries box, or quoting the 2013 sandwich's price and calories, are describing products that no longer exist. The 2026 build runs 370 calories, some stores serve it on a sesame-seed bun instead of brioche, and the figures on this page describe that sandwich, not its 2013 ancestor.

Where the sodium lands
790 mg in the standard build, 34% of the daily value. The breading and the sauce cups carry most of it; a zero-calorie drink changes nothing here, and leaving a cup sealed saves about 170 mg.

What is the KFC Snacker in 2026?
A mini sandwich, and a comeback. The Chicken Tender Snacker returned to KFC’s national menu on 30 March 2026: one Original Recipe tender, pickles and creamy mayo on a soft brioche bun, sold for about $3.00 on its own and packed into the new $7 and $9 Box Feasts. KFC’s release calls the remix options out by name, spicy mayo, coleslaw, or both, which makes four builds at one price.
The 2005 original was a 99-cent crispy strip with lettuce and pepper mayo on a sesame roll, retired in a 2013 menu trim and mourned online ever since. The 2026 version keeps the strip-in-a-bun idea and modernises the frame: brioche where the sesame roll was, pickles where the lettuce was. Purists will notice; most people will notice that it’s back.
Snacker vs Chicken Little
KFC now sells two mini sandwiches with mayo and pickles, and the Chicken Little is the incumbent. The difference is the bread, not the chicken: both carry an Original Recipe tender with pickles and mayo. The Little puts it on a plain warm miniature bun at $2.79 with a published 310 calories and 14 grams of protein; the Snacker puts it on a soft brioche bun at about $3.00 and 370 calories with 17 grams of protein, and the creamy mayo is a shade richer. Twenty-one cents separates them, so the choice is the bun and the sauce, not money.
Is it worth the price?
As a standalone, it’s the light end of the sandwich board and priced like it. The better math is inside the boxes: the $7 Box Feast bundles one Snacker with five nuggets, a 3 oz fries and a medium drink, components that run past $10 bought separately, and the $9 box adds a second Snacker for two dollars, the cleanest upsell on the current menu. Two Snackers à la carte cost roughly what the $7 box costs with nuggets, fries and a drink thrown in.
At 370 calories and 17 grams of protein it computes like a tender with a bun on: 0.81 cents per calorie, a shade above the Chicken Little’s rate and well inside the value tier. The 790 mg of sodium is the fried-chicken constant: most of it is in the tender and the pickle brine.
Who it suits, and who should skip it
Light lunches, kids’ orders outside the kids' menu, the second item for someone who ordered a Chicken Little and stayed hungry, and anyone who has been waiting since 2013. Skip it if you want a full sandwich, the Classic Chicken Sandwich at $5.49 is twice the food, or if you’re counting sodium: at 790 mg it runs a third higher than the Chicken Little for a similar bite.

How much is the KFC Snacker?
About $3.00 à la carte as this site's reference; franchises vary, and it also comes built into the $7 Box Feast (one Snacker) and the $9 Box Feast (two).
What's on the KFC Snacker?

How many calories is the Snacker?

Snacker or Chicken Little?
They're cousins: both mini sandwiches with mayo and pickles. The Chicken Little runs the same tender on a plain bun at $2.79 with a published 310 calories; the Snacker runs a whole Original Recipe tender at about $3.00, 370 calories per KFC's listing. Does the Snacker come with a drink or side?
No, it's a standalone sandwich. The $7 Box Feast is the packaged version with nuggets, fries and a drink.
