KFC Survey Guide: MyKFCExperience, Step by Step
The real KFC survey lives at mykfcexperience.com, run for KFC by SMG, and it asks for two things printed on your receipt: the survey code and the time of your visit. Answer it and the receipt’s printed offer becomes a validation code you write on the receipt and bring back. Every other “KFC survey” address on the internet is a harvest site. This page walks the seven steps, prices the offer against the board, and shows where feedback goes when you want a reply rather than a coupon.
How to take the MyKFCExperience survey
- Keep the receipt. The survey code and the time of visit are both printed on it; without the receipt there is nothing to enter. Take the survey within the window printed near the invitation, which is measured in days from the visit.
- Open mykfcexperience.com. Type it yourself rather than tapping a search result: the real site is the .com, shows the KFC logo and an SMG copyright line, and asks for nothing but receipt details.
- Choose English or Español. The two language options sit at the top of the first screen.
- Enter the survey code. The code is printed near the survey invitation on the receipt, usually in the lower half. If your receipt has no code, use the link on the same screen for receipts without one; it asks for the store number and the date and time instead.
- Enter the time of your visit. Hours, minutes and AM or PM as printed on the receipt, not from memory; the time is what ties the answers to the store.
- Answer the questions. Overall satisfaction first, then the order, the speed, the staff, the cleanliness and whether the food matched what was ordered. Free-text boxes take specifics: the item, the time, what went wrong or right. It takes about five minutes.
- Write down the validation code. The last screen shows a code. Write it on the receipt in the space provided and bring the receipt to a participating KFC to claim the printed offer.
Where everything is on the receipt
| On the receipt | What it is | Where you need it |
|---|---|---|
| Store number | The four- to six-digit number identifying the restaurant | The no-code route, and any call to customer service |
| Date and time | When the order was placed, to the minute | The survey asks for the time; keep the date for the offer window |
| Survey code | The long number printed beside the survey invitation | The main entry field on the first screen |
| Order or ticket number | The sequence number of your order | Only needed when reporting a problem |
| The printed offer | What the completed survey earns, and the days it stays valid | The claim, on your next visit |
| Validation code space | A blank line for the code the survey gives you | Write the code here before you go back |
Layouts differ by franchise and register; the elements are the same on every receipt that carries the invitation.
What the offer is worth
The offer is printed on the receipt, and it varies by franchise and promotion cycle, which is why this page does not name one. Judge whatever yours says against the standing board. A free side is worth about $3.49 at the counter, a free cookie $1.49, a free drink $2.99, and a discount on a next order is worth exactly the number printed. The survey is a few minutes of your time; against a $1.29 biscuit it is still a fair trade, and against a free bowl at $5.00 it is a good one. Most offers require a purchase on the return visit and expire a fixed number of days after the survey.
The rules, from the survey site and the receipt
| Rule | What it means in practice |
|---|---|
| One survey per receipt | The code works once. A second visit means a second receipt. |
| Time window | Take the survey within the days printed on the receipt; the code stops working after that. |
| Offer window | The validation code and the offer expire a set number of days after the survey; the receipt states how many. |
| Purchase requirement | Most printed offers apply to a purchase on the return visit; the receipt says which. |
| One code per visit | Bring the original receipt with the validation code written on it; a photo is not always accepted. |
| Participating restaurants | The offer is honored at the restaurant that printed it and usually at other participating KFCs; franchises can differ. |
The survey is operated by SMG under its own privacy policy and terms of service, linked at the bottom of every survey screen.
What the survey asks
Ten to fifteen screens: how satisfied you were overall, whether you dined in, went through the drive-through or ordered ahead, the accuracy of the order, the speed, the temperature and taste of the food, the friendliness of staff, the cleanliness of the restaurant, and whether you would return or recommend. Two or three screens take free text. Specifics matter there: the item, the time, and what happened. A complaint typed into the survey reaches the store’s scores but does not open a case; for a reply, use the routes below.
When something goes wrong
| Problem | What to do |
|---|---|
| No survey code on the receipt | Use the “no survey code” link on the first screen and enter the store number, date and time instead. |
| The code is rejected | Check the digits against the receipt and the time of visit; codes also stop working after the printed window. |
| The page will not load | Type mykfcexperience.com directly; some search results and ad links point at copies. |
| The offer is refused at the counter | Check the expiry days and the purchase requirement on the receipt; franchises honor their own printed offers first. |
| You want a refund or a reply | The survey does not answer back. Call 1-800-225-5532, use the contact form on kfc.com, or report an app order through the app. |
Survey, Rewards or Contact Us: which route
| You want | Route | What comes back |
|---|---|---|
| To rate a visit and earn the receipt offer | MyKFCExperience survey | A validation code for the printed offer |
| A reply about a bad order | Contact form on kfc.com or 1-800-225-5532 | A case with the franchise or corporate team |
| A refund on an app order | Order history in the KFC app | A refund or credit through the app |
| Free food over time | KFC Rewards | 10 points a dollar on app and kfc.com orders |
The customer service page covers every route in detail.
Spotting a fake survey
Search results for “KFC survey” are crowded with look-alike sites. The tells: an address that is not mykfcexperience.com, especially odd endings such as .cfd, .review or .win; a promise of a large gift card or cash prize; any request for a card number, a bank detail or a password; a countdown timer; a page that never asks for a receipt code. The real survey asks for the survey code and the time of visit, offers only what your receipt printed, and never asks for payment details. If you have already entered card details on a copy, contact your card issuer first.
The real survey never asks for a card number, a login or a fee. Anything that does is not KFC.
Privacy: who sees the answers
SMG runs the survey for KFC and its privacy policy and terms of service are linked on every screen. Answers feed the restaurant’s satisfaction scores and the franchise’s reports; the receipt code ties them to a store and a time, not to a name unless you enter one in a free-text box. Nothing on the survey requires an account, and a completed survey does not create a Rewards account.

QuestionsKFC Survey Guide FAQs
What is the official KFC survey website?
mykfcexperience.com, run for KFC by SMG. It asks for the survey code and the time of visit printed on your receipt and nothing else.
Where is the survey code on a KFC receipt?
Beside the survey invitation, usually in the lower half of the receipt. Receipts without a code can use the no-code link on the first screen with the store number, date and time.
What do you get for the KFC survey?
Whatever offer is printed on your receipt; it varies by franchise and promotion. The survey gives a validation code to write on the receipt and bring back within the printed window, usually with a purchase.
How long does the KFC survey take?
About five minutes: ten to fifteen screens on the visit, the order and the staff, with two or three free-text boxes.
Is the KFC survey worth doing?
For a free side, cookie or drink, yes; those are worth $1.49 to $3.49 at the counter. For a discount, it is worth exactly the printed number against the standing board.
Can I take the survey without a receipt?
No. The survey code and the time of visit are both printed on the receipt, and the no-code route still needs the store number, date and time from it.
How many times can I take the KFC survey?
Once per receipt. Each visit produces a new receipt and a new code.
When does the survey code expire?
A set number of days after the visit, printed on the receipt beside the invitation. The offer itself has its own window after the survey.
Does the survey give a free bucket or a $500 gift card?
No. Sites promising a large gift card or cash for a "KFC survey" are not the survey. The real offer is the one printed on your receipt.
Is MyKFCExperience safe?
The real site is operated by SMG under its own privacy policy and asks only for receipt details. Copies at other addresses that ask for card details or logins are not.
Will KFC reply to a complaint in the survey?
Not directly; the survey scores the store. For a reply, call 1-800-225-5532, use the contact form on kfc.com or report an app order through the app.
Does the survey earn Rewards points?
No. Rewards points come from orders placed through the KFC app or kfc.com; the survey earns the receipt offer only.
