KFC Family Meals Menu With Prices
KFC’s family board runs from the 16-tender meal‘s $4.00 a head and the $20 Build-A-Bucket‘s $5.00 to the Chicken Tenders Feast‘s $9.00, a wider spread than the stickers suggest, across meals, buckets, hybrids, the $10 popcorn bucket and the two-person tier. The right order is headcount math, and this page does all of it.
Family formats are where KFC pricing actually competes, and where listings confuse the most: bucket versus meal, feast versus box, each pair a different product wearing similar names. This hub ranks every format by cost per head: the $20 Build-A-Bucket, the Fan Favorite's Box (the renamed Fill Up Box), the 8-piece and 12-piece meals, the tenders family meal, the 16-piece meal, the hybrid feast, the Sharing Bucket and the chicken-only 8, 12 and 16-piece buckets.

Feed four, by the numbers
Feeding a table is where this board’s prices spread the widest. Per head, $10 Popcorn Chicken Bucket is the cheapest format on this board at $2.50 a person for 4 people, and Chicken Tenders Feast is the most expensive on the same table at $9.00 a head. The per-head calories are honest ranges: a bucket’s total depends on which cuts land in it, so every family page splits the order by head and states the basis. Sides and drinks that are not in the box bill on top.

Per-head figures assume the even split each format is built for. The family meals menu carries the complete table and the meal-versus-bucket math.
The per-head table, in words
$10 Popcorn Chicken Bucket: $2.50 a head across four, a snack round rather than a dinner. 16-tender meal: $4.00 a head across eight, the board’s quiet crown. $20 Build-A-Bucket and 8-tender meal: $5.00 across four. The chicken-nugget hybrid: $5.00 across five, sides included. Boneless hybrid: $5.50. Fan Favorite's Box: $6.25 across four. 12-piece meal: $6.67 across six. 12-tender meal: $6.75. 16-piece meal: $6.87 across eight. 8-piece meal: $7.50. The Chicken Tenders Feast: $9.00 across five, the hybrid tax. The two-person tier runs $8.00 to $8.50 a head, right-sizing priced as such. Headcount and appetite pick the winner; the math is now public.
The 2026 additions
The $20 Build-A-Bucket is the new family anchor: eight dark-meat pieces or eight Original Recipe tenders, four individual sides, four sauces and four biscuits at a price set nationally, $5 a head. The Fan Favorite's Box is the $20 Fill Up Box under its current name and its current $25 price, same four pieces, twelve nuggets, fries and biscuits. The $10 Popcorn Chicken Bucket is a sharing snack, more than 50 pieces with four dips, the cheapest bucket of any kind. And the Family Feast with Tenders now lists as the Chicken Tenders Feast, six pieces, six tenders, two larges and three sauces at $44.99.

Meal or bucket? The $14 question
Every meal is a bucket plus sides and biscuits, and the gap prices the difference: the 12-piece bucket at $25.99 becomes the 12-piece meal at $39.99 to $14 for three large sides and six biscuits. A grocery run covers the same table for about half that. Kitchens win; convenience costs; both are honest choices priced in the open.
The two-pieces-a-head doctrine
Every format on this page assumes two pieces (or three tenders) per person, because that’s how KFC builds them: 8 feeds 4, 12 feeds 6, 16 feeds 8. Big-appetite tables should size up one format rather than over-ordering sides: the per-head math holds better in chicken than in mash.
What the ranges mean
Family pages on this site carry calorie ranges, not single numbers: a bucket’s total depends on which cuts land in it, so we publish the honest spread (light build to heavy) and the per-head split, derived from the per-piece figures on the item pages. No family format carries a Value Grade for the same reason: there’s no single serving to score. The per-head price does that work instead.
Picks by the numbers
The same board, read six ways. Each pick is the single best figure on its line among the items priced here, with the number that earned it.

Allergens across the board
Across the 11 items on this board, 11 list wheat, 10 milk, 10 soy and 7 egg. Every item here declares at least one of the four. Shared fryers and prep surfaces mean cross-contact is possible for every item, so the list is a declaration, not a guarantee.

How to pay less on this board
- Buy chicken on its weekday. The $10 Bucket of the Day runs Monday to Friday at participating restaurants: 24 nuggets on Monday and Friday, eight drums and thighs on Tuesday, ten wings on Wednesday, eight tenders on Thursday, each for ten dollars in the restaurant, on kfc.com or in the app and never on delivery platforms. Tuesday works out to $1.25 a piece against $2.37 in the standing eight-piece bucket; it is chicken only, so add sides from the sides board or take the $5 sides-and-biscuits add-on.
- Order in the app, not through a delivery platform. App prices are the reference used on every page here, Rewards pays 10 points a dollar (roughly 4 to 6 percent back when redeemed on meal-tier items), and the exclusives feed refreshes weekly with attach deals that stack with the standing board. The app guide covers the machinery.
- Judge every deal against the standing floor. A complete meal starts at $4.99 on the board every day and family dinner at $4.00 a head; the deals page explains how the offer channels work so any coupon can be judged in ten seconds.
Ordering these for delivery
Delivery platforms list this board 15 to 35 percent above the counter price before the delivery fee, service fee and tip, so a family order lands 35 to 60 percent over its counter self. KFC’s own app with delivery keeps the menu closest to reference and is the only route that earns Rewards points. On the ride itself, buckets travel better than any single combo; keep the lid cracked so the crust does not steam. The delivery page has the measured markup table and the four routes ranked.
If something here is not on your board
Nothing leaves this site when it leaves the menu. Each item below keeps its page, its last listed price and its full nutrition, marked with its status, so the comparison is ready if it returns.
- Chicken Sharing Bucket, regional. A 10-piece bucket is not a current national listing; the national buckets are 8, 12 and 16 pieces plus the $20 Build-A-Bucket. Some franchises still sell a 10 pc. at their own price. Current equivalent: 8 pc. Chicken Only Bucket.

Frequently asked questions
What’s the cheapest KFC family meal per person?
The 16-piece tenders meal at $4.00 a head across eight, then the $20 Build-A-Bucket and the 8-tender meal at $5.00 across four. The $10 Popcorn Chicken Bucket is $2.50 a head but it is a snack, not a dinner.
How many people does each format feed?
Two pieces a head: 8-piece formats feed four, 12-piece six, 16-piece eight. The tenders meal feeds four at three tenders each.
Bucket or meal, what’s the difference?
Chicken-only versus chicken plus sides and biscuits. The gap runs $14 at the 12-piece tier: that’s the price of the rest of dinner.
Why don’t family meals show calorie counts?
They show ranges: bucket totals depend on cut mix, so a single number would be invented. The honest spread and per-head split are on every page.
Do family meals include drinks?
None do: drinks are separate across the family board. A 2-liter beats fountain mediums for any table of four-plus.
Is the 8-piece family meal the same as the 8-piece chicken meal?
Yes, boards and apps use both names for the same bundle. One product, one price, two names.
What is the KFC $20 Build-A-Bucket?
Eight dark-meat pieces or eight Original Recipe tenders, four individual sides, four dipping sauces and four biscuits for $20 flat, feeding four at $5 a head. The price is set nationally.
Is the $20 Fill Up Box still available?
Under a new name and price: it sells as the Fan Favorite’s Box at about $25, the same four pieces, twelve nuggets, fries, biscuits and sauces. The Fill Up Box page keeps the $20 record.
Which family meals item has the fewest calories?
Meal for Two: 2 Sandwiches & 10 Nuggets at 1,800 calories is the lightest single serving here; Meal for Two: 2 Sandwiches & 10 Nuggets is the heaviest at 1,800. Family formats are measured per head on their own pages.
